Crown Center Children’s Exhibit near Kansas City Office Space

If your kids are going a little stir crazy on winter weekends, think about taking them to explore the Animal Tales & Trails exhibit at Crown Center! This exhibit is FREE and open from February 4th – April 29th. Animal Tales & Trails is one of many “February Happenings” available to the Kansas City community that South Creek Overland Park keeps its tenants informed of through our newsletter.

Animal Tales and Trails is an interactive habitat where children can learn about the most interesting creatures. They are encouraged to join the polar bear in his cave and help him icefish, slide down the penguin iceberg slide, jump with the kangaroo on a small trampoline, and much more. This exhibit is best suited for children ages 2-11.

Kansas City Golf Show Near South Creek Overland Park

If you are a golf lover and looking for something to do on a February weekend, check out the Kansas City Golf Show at the Overland Park Convention Center from February 24-26! The show will host several sponsors offering a variety of activities.

If you are looking for hands-on instruction, Midwest Professional Golf Association Instructors will be offering free 5-10 minute lessons all weekend, and GolfTEC Certified Personal Coaches will be there to give you some tips on your swing. Union Station February Event near Commercial Rental Property in Kansas City

Annual Trash Bag Fundraiser at South Creek Overland Park

The deadline is fast approaching to help out the community surrounding DDI Commercial in Overland Park by buying trash bags as a fundraiser for a local youth group. Every year Lee Summit’s Baptist youth group attends either a youth camp or a mission trip. This year, they are planning a mission trip that will most likely take them from Texas to Juarez, Mexico.

A participant’s mother describes the group as “a very well organized and well led group of high school aged young men and women,” and stressed that this mission trip is a potentially life-changing opportunity for these students to grow as leaders.

The trash bag sale is one of multiple events the group holds throughout the year to fundraise for their mission trip, and the money raised goes towards helping youths attend the trip who might not otherwise have the funds to take advantage of this opportunity. If you are interested in supporting their cause—or just needs a supply of trash bags—you have a few types of bags to choose from:

Golf Tournament Near Southcreek Overland Park

Proceeds from this tournament will support the non-profit organization SAFEHOME. SAFEHOME is a shelter that strives to meet the needs of victims of domestic violence in their community.
