Next time you are at the grocery store shopping for some tasty breakfast foods, consider picking up Farmland Foods bacon products to help support Farmland and Harvesters in the “Bacon a Difference” campaign. Harvesters is a local clearinghouse that collects and distributes food and other household products to the hungry. From May 26th through September 3rd, 2012, Farmland Foods will donate 4.3 cents to Harvesters for each bacon product you buy at participating grocery stores. Supporting stores include the following:
Apple Market
Cosentinos Downtown
Country Mart
Dillons
Festival Foods
Hen House
Hy-Vee (Kansas City, Topeka and Manhattan)
John’s Super
Patricia’s Foods (Grain Valley, Marshall, Oak Grove and Odessa)
Price Chopper
Red X
SunFresh
Thriftway
This campaign will culminate in the presentation of a check to Harvesters for no less than $43,000 from Farmland Foods at the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series at Kansas Speedway in October. Farmland will also put the Harvesters logo on Richard Petty Motorsports’ famous No. 43 Ford, which will race in the event.
